Not just a CM apparently, there's an entire thread on here complaining about how these highly difficult missions are PvP only.

All missions allow coop, randoms, ranked, and brawl. Mission marked with * is not valid for ops, all other missions allow it. None can be completed in the special Star Trek mode.

It's now available in the Star Trek mode, they must have added it.

The person who wrote that thread is disabled. Depending on the disability - randoms is an impossible mode. Co-op on the other hand is good. Just a cursory browse of the first post in that thread tells you that.

My main gripe with the PvP only mission was that it did not need to be PvP.

Almost every PvP player, and some PvE players have stated the mission was jokingly easy, so the obvious reason it was there was to filter players who for whatever reason can't or won't play that mode, as if only players willing to enter that mode are worthy of the privilege of buying something from the armory.

There was no reason, other than the arbitrary filter, to not have an 'or' option for that mission, like a BXP amount or 'win X battles in Ops'.

So no, that wasn't what I referred to. Merely remarking how WG screwing up CV rework implementation and Submarine introduction has stagnated the PvP

A quick glance at the first page of that thread implies disability as a reason for people not playing the mode at most, not something the OP has. If he explicitly said so later in the thread, then I didn't see it with my cursory browse. Instead, the first page shows him bragging about the number of losses he had as his "revenge on WG for forcing the mode." Regardless, for the vast majority of players these missions should be easy.

OP clearly states that he is disabled and that his disability effects his hands. He is also not a native english speaker, but his message is very clear to me. I'm just pointing out to you that your inability to read the comment has clouded your judgment of it.

Well there you go. My bad. In my defence I wasn't aware of that second thread. My point still stands, many disabled players find random battles too difficult to play as an effective team member.

Might be slightly off topic but for the last mission "Deal 50k damage in three diff ways" does flooding and fire count? or does it have to be like guns/torps/airstrike?

Flooding and fires count.  HE and AP are separate.

Secondary battery

Torpedo

Rocket

Bomb

Depth Charge

Fire

Flood

...and I think ram are different types. There may be unique types in Star Trek ops if those are eligible (I cleared the mission before Star Trek dropped, so I can't see if that is the case).

The total must be 50k, not 50k of each type, so it's very simple to get in most ships that can hit 50k reliably. Just avoid ships with only main battery (no secondaries, no torpedoes), avoid submarines, and wade into co-op.

Try "Only those Co-op players willing to go outside their comfort zone are worthy of being allowed to buy this otherwise-banned ship."
