All put up when enemy planes are 10k out but drop on me (except the last one which was emergency on a rocket plane attack, but they died in 5 seconds anyway to a fuso 5k away of all things!). first 2 were bombers from a weser so he had to fly right ontop of me to drop and i still get this result. Why can't you do that now to instruct fighter planes to attack an enemy squadron inside 10k? that would make it useful and team useful. Edited October 9 by WES_HoundDog 1

As if cruisers need to be more useless I know, with those AA built cruiser back in the day, I could feel like I was actually fulfilling a useful role. There are still some useful cruisers around, here and there, but overall it seems WG wants them just for rock camping and HE spewing. Maybe it's just a touch of nostalgia, but I could swear things were different when this game started out. 1

Things were different then. Things were much better. WG has a propensity, imo, to start things great then progressively squeeze their golden geese to death in pursuit of more (than enough) money for the owner. Exhibit A = WoT & now Exhibit B = WoWS. That's 2 out of 3 where Wedgie hit the ball out of the park. If only we could go back to the first few years of both games. 1

I tried WoWP (early on even) but got slaughtered every time I tried playing it. Then I found out it was (essentially?) infested with unicum players (even then), so, like virtually most new players who try it out, I immediately quit playing it. What they can do is prevent that player from getting MULTIPLE drops on you. Or, if multiple drops is desired, the CV player is willing to take the fighter hits. Use fighters with this concept in mind. As for a Fuso taking out attacking planes, if a CV player runs into a flak burst, that can do it. Even poor AA ships (but with lethal flak) can get decent kills if the CV player doesn't know how to dodge flak.

WoT was pay to win, wows wasn't(and still isn't relatively speaking). WoT devs were(and still are) awful and never listened to the player base(I'd argue they were so dismissive, it was borderline contempt for the player base and their feedback). We talk about russian bias here, but WoT started that trend with good reason(Anyone remember how insane the pre-nerf IS-7 was? or the OG KV-1S(later KV-122) that basically was the only tank you could play at tier VI clan battles?). I think WoWs was much better than WoT as a product initially and, despite how much things have gone down hill with WoWs lately, its still a significantly better game than WoT ever was. 2
