Saw an “Iowa 2” in a random PVP game just now. OP said it was a test ship, looked like an Iowa to me.

The only Iowa class left is New Jersey, but WG just released Wisconsin.  It will be interesting to see what it turns out to be.

NC 2, Iowa 2, and Montana 2 are all test ships which are functionally and visually identical to their tech tree counterparts.

I have been looking forward to seeing the New Jersey in game as I think of all the times I flew into PHL and during the approach go directly over her. (Never could come up with the time to actually visit her). As I have previously speculated, I sincerely wonder if she might be the first Tier XI Premium or "Special" Super Ship. She would offer a huge break in terms of the credit sink given her "Special" ship status and perhaps even with a "baked-in" credit multiplier analogous to the Missouri (although I guess that may be a thing of the past) and with Tier XI-level improved gunnery and speed, and one or more "funny" buttons. It would be cheap to program this ship, and I bet they could quickly directly sell a "boatload" of these at a high dollar cost.

I am late to this thread but, I suspect you've missed the inferences and the use of "2" in the conversation....

IMO, the collaboration seems to be with "Star Wars" and specifically, a new movie titled "Revenge of the Clones...." (That I think would be a great topic to tie the Clone wars to the modern narrative and movies (Bad Batch, the animated clone wars cartoons and Ahskoa...)
