yss_turtleship
I don't usually mess around with my mouse settings but I decided to change my mouse. Having played WoT in the past I've used a lower DPI (800) since it was suggested for better aiming. I have more equipment on my desk now and I will switch up to 1600 DPI so I won't need that much space to maneuver my mouse. I was just wondering what everyone else is using and does it really matter to this game? TIA, Turtle

This lets me move the mouseball, instead of making large motions around a desk. It's very precise. And can be adjusted for sensitivity via the driver software settings. Personally, I wish they hadn't discontinued it. Some "new old stock" might still be found. The replacements that superceded it have been more expensive and less appealing, in my opinion. But, I may be forced to use one, if my current mouse dies.

I liked it a lot but moved back to the more traditional mouse. I still the Expert in storage.

Wowzery
I've used a thumb trackball now for close to 25-30 years. I did use a more traditional mouse, but felt my wrist starting to hurt after some games. Thinking oh crap, I'm getting carpal tunnel. Heard trackballs helped this and haven't had a problem since moving over to the trackball. It was easy for me as the first laptop I ever had had a trackball in the lid which you used your thumb to use. Its still the best mouse I ever had on a laptop. After using them for so long, playing with a normal mouse is tedious to me.

I also have an Evoluent verticalmouse 4, which is no better ingame. Here's the Logitech on my desk: As @yss_turtleship, I'm also interested in seeing what others use - optimally I'd prefer a mouse that hikes my precision by 10% and reduces shell dispersion by the same... 🤪 1
Efros
I use this guy, UtechSmart Venus Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse. Has USB, 2.4 GHZ and BT connection. All buttons are programmable and I have the F commands linked to the number pad on the side and 'W' on the index finger button next to the left mouse button. I've had it for about a year and it was a huge improvement on my previous mouse a wireless Corsair mouse that was too small for my bear mitts. I don't mess about with the DPI so I can't comment on that but it can be altered by the up down chevron buttons on the top of the mouse. It's basically a knock off of the Corsair Scimitar Pro, I have two of those on other systems and I've been using those since the mouse was first released. Only reasons I got this one was it was less than half the price, it was wireless, and it has excellent reviews (4.5 stars on 22,000 reviews on Amazon). Only issue I've had is that the BT connection can be a bit iffy, but then you should be using the 2.4GHz dongle for gaming anyway. If you're looking for a good, relatively cheap mouse (currently $38, Corsair wireless Scimitar is $90), I can recommend this one.
yss_turtleship
I've entertained getting one of those "MMO" mice before. The only thing that stopped me was that I sometimes switch machines so I would have to get a couple of copies of it. In the end, it was simpler for me to stick to a standard gaming mouse. I like the concept though!

Mainly as back up in case say my scroll wheel dont move. The extra buttons are great for Subs. I got mine on the left side of the mouse and I can use it to control subs very effectively. The extra input located on the mouse is a good option only IF You need it for comfort You need it for back up. You need it to play the Submarine class Other then these notions. I dont see any other situations why, you'd need an extra fancy mouse with a lot of input commands.

After all wasn't it just a few weeks ago that we found out about Logitech's "forever mouse?" https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2024/07/logitech-has-an-idea-for-a-forever-mouse-thatrequires-a-subscription/

I already have a Logitech mouse that I like. The problem, for me, is that they stopped selling it.
Justin_Simpleton
Logitech M570 is the mouse I've been using for years. The roller ball bearings wear out after a few years.

TIA, Turtle I prefer the 1000 or 1200 dpi although sometimes in battleships I will lower it to 800 dpi as I find 1000 can be jerky while aiming and in a slower reload ship you want to be extra careful with aiming
MysticalWar
I use the Razer Deathadder It was a good deal at BestBuy for 45 dollars and goes up to 6000 dpi.
