Anybody know if there's any interest in the modding community for 'replicating' the look of the Star Trek camos?

also choice of sides for Trek can be better.

While FED is predictable US

Vulcans also can pas as Germans due Cold Logic

Klingons will fit better Japanese then UK due Code of Honor which have big impact in Japan History and Tradition

Romulans can be Italians because it use clock aka smoke screen avoid direct fight and backstabbing enemy's and allies when it have clear profit from that WW1 and 2 show that

I was so excited for the Star trek event. I was ready to spend hard earned doubloons.

The port did not disappoint. Excellently done.Β Β

The commanders we perfect looking versions of the real characters.

Then I clicked to hear the voice overs. *what the frack*. God awful and obviously not them.

Camo's were tied to specific ships that I did not want.Β

I did not spend any doubloons.

Interestingly, in the Legends version of the collaboration, the Vulcan cruiser camo was instead a standalone ship, and both it and Spock were French.

Hopefully you grabbed the Sela commander from the free mission chain then, because Denise Crosby provided the voiceover.

Events like this are good as it gives money to feed the servers and also they are easy for me to pass, the free captain I got ofc.

The prize for camos should be max 20% for me to buy, despite that I am a huge Star Trek fan of the older series, the newer gets too far in the woke territory as does Star Wars for that matter.Β

Missed opportunity on their part for certain. Putting the Big E up for sale was a no brainer.....and they blew it. Could have been a good cash grab for them.

Ever since the β€œPacific Ghost” camo for Enterprise was announced in January I’ve been expecting the ship to make an appearance in an auction. When this event was announced it seemed like a near certainty that it would happen last patch. That it did not was a big surprise.

Of course, while I would like other players to have the opportunity to pick up the ship, at the same time any would-be takers might have dodged a bullet when one considers the CV rework being tested. The fact that WG is still introducing new premium CVs (Theseus will feature in an event this patch) on the cusp of such a drastic change leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I was hoping the CV Enterprise would be offered for sale in tandem with the Star Trek collaboration event.Β Β
But, that didn't happen.
As others have pointed out, a golden marketing & revenue opportunity was squandered.

The sales could have generated revenue for WG/WOWs (until the initial reports of the new testing of CV mechanics began to circulate, at least).
Then, when players began voicing their opinions about the TST server gameplay, as you said, people might begin to have some regrets?

There are a number of "cool ships" that have been removed from the premium shop and the armory, over the years.
If some people are to be believed, a number of veteran players (who have those ships in their ports) have left the game for various reasons.
Thus, the player "churn" would theoretically reduce the chances of encountering those ships in a battle.
Continuing to deny new players the reliable opportunity to welcome certain ships into their ports seems counter-productive, to me, from a revenue standpoint.

So, I wonder, if the TST server shennanigans are a pre-cursor to the re-intruduction of certain ships?
Because, I speculate, the game environment and mechanics could be altered drastically enough to allow them back into the game without being overpowered?
