I don't recall ever getting that much ship XP out of 1500 base under the old system. Then again, I don't think I ever used the +400% Mosaic camo for anything (I was frequently grinding my captains with my ships, so I was choosing 200% XP camo that also boosted free or commander XP), and that might have made the difference.

Right now my totals with blue boosters are higher than I ever got before. I only reach for the reds when the time is short and/or the need is desperate. But when I do, oh yes, the XP/credits really roll in!

Under the old system it was worth to get as much Xp as possible, given that from THAT  (and not BXP) CXP and FXP were calculated.  Grinded in one week Laska, in Raptor.

With blue, max I got was around 32-35K, granted, NOT for 1500 BXP.

Yes, I know but CXP and FXP bonuses on some of the rare camos together with 200% ship XP on the same camo were incredibly high, and CXP totals grossly in excess of ship XP were not hard to achieve. Mosaic (400% ship XP but nothing else) was very rare for me, and I never found an occasion worth using mine for.

Not sure how many CCs have a huge cache of red boosters, but this gives some insight on time frames for "speed runs."

I mean, to reach tier 10 from a fresh account can be done in around 40 battles with good play and maximizing of freebies. It's probably even less for veterans with premium time and stockpiles of high level boosters.

Not a CC but gotten some red ones in Santa crates and other SC that I save for these types of re-grinds. This time around I actually managed to go from T9 Kitakaze to T10 Harugumo in 6 matches, but that I think is a record for me.

Not sure about reds, but I know Lord Zath has so many blues that he feels comfortable with loading a full blue setup including ship XP on even his premium ships. I keep ribbing him about that last one, since they're the last ships he needs to be emphasizing ship XP for, but they're his boosters to spend as he likes so... *shrugs*

I have few enough reds that I save them for my most desperate hours.

A list for context, admittedly older and currently incomplete, but I think the least and most expensive ships are still correct:

As far as I know, this includes only the straight grind through the hulls, without any of the extras, and it was produced for those who prefer to FXP it. So if you use it to grind, you're playing a ship with its B hull researched (eventually) but all the other gunfire control, torps, engines, CV air groups etc., stock.

(Bear in mind that while the XP cost for the CVs is low, they also get only 80% of research bureau yield because there are fewer hulls in the line.)

With those caveats in mind, 40 battles along the Hakuryu line requires 15,435 XP per battle on average and Kremlin 22,165 XP per battle on average. This is misleading, of course, since the early ships in the line don't even need half that much and using anything higher than green or sometimes even grey boosters would just be a waste.

The two other numbers against which players need to place these grind figures in context are:

90: the number of days in a Research Bureau double-points season.

37,000: the number of XP required to get the third daily crate. With this yardstick, going through hulls only, Hakuryu can be reached in 17 days, Kremlin in 24.
