Frostbow
I've seen toxic in-game chats before and I just brush them off, but a recent battle had me thinking about how truly bad it is out there right now, when the toxic player who announced to the enemy team my coordinates while the battle was still going on happened to be our teammate. Early on, our Napoli player was whining on the in-game chat, calling our team names. I've seen similar frustration before, vented out, when one does not get the support he wants. I thought this Napoli must be a very good player, who simply wants to score a win before calling it a day. I was on a Jager, who spawned on the other side of the map, and I did not mind the chat. I was already behind enemy lines, trying to provide vision for the team, at the same time trying to land torpedo hits, all the time hoping for our Agir and Wisconsin to take advantage of the spotting I was giving them. Then the chat became even more toxic as our Napoli player lost his ship to a still undetected DD. He must have been boiling with rage already, and was calling me names, when out of nowhere, he announced my coordinates to the enemy team, while the match was still going on! I think I know how it feels like to lose your ship and the battle despite your best efforts to win. It sucks. No matter how good one is with a cruiser as powerful as the Napoli, defeats still happen. After the battle ended I reflected on why our Napoli player was raging and throwing insults at us. I thought he must have had a streak of defeats in Random Battles, so he probably went to Mode Shuffle expecting to win with his strong Italian cruiser, only to be given another defeat. But to announce to the enemy my exact map coordinates is just wrong. Out of curiosity, I checked our Napoli player's Random Battle stats: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 3 2
Jakob Knight
We've seen this kind of behavior before, most noticably when Subs were introduced. A player's rage at the game not being what they personally think it should be, or just an outlet mechanism for RL issues, makes someone want to ruin other people's game to provide some form of satisfaction. It's wrong, against the EULA, and immature, but it happens. All you can do is report them and move on to the next match (or better yet, win the battle despite their actions and intent, throwing salt in their wounds). Unlooky
Free CS ticket and chatban then. Makes you wonder if the game will take the WoT route and disable all chat. 2

I hope not, even though there's considerably less chat these days than there used to be years ago, in WoWS. WoT had quite a lot of it when there was still the general chat, and not all of it voice about revealing team mates' location.
Wolfswetpaws
@Frostbow as @Jakob Knight and @Unlooky have pointed-out, they violated the TOS/EULA and have earned a "report" and a Customer Service Ticket accompanied by some screen-shots and the replay file. If it were me, that's what I'd do, along with blacklisting and chat-blocking the player. 1

I don't want chat removed. If an individual player misbehaves in chat I can "report" them and block their messages. If they're really over-the-top, I can create a Customer Service ticket and accompany it with screenshots and a replay. Let's weed-out the individuals instead of punishing the entire player-base, eh? 🙂 2

Navalpride33
Im with @ArIskandir on this one... The guy doesn't know how to launch an insult regardless of the language used.. That's the worst use of the word Ive ever seen... Its an insult to the people, the word used references... Total disregard for the Spanish language, since the guy was using a British slang.. I'm guessing he got his Spanish from the source (La RAE) of Spain. ----------------------------------------------- Send a ticket... Sending the red team your teams coordinates is against the TOS/EULA for unsportsmanlike conduct. I can assure you, sanctions will be given as a result. You can't tell with the stats provided what you were dealing with. There's no stats in the game to help you with that.

I know you and I do not agree on this. You've insisted on a lot of things before that I definitely do not agree with, such as: ● there is no skill in World of Warships ● you don't need skill in World of Warships But then there it is, a player with that kind of stats in the Napoli who spent a lot time throwing insults at his teammates, and then maliciously revealed to the enemy team my coordinates. Totally bad stats, even in a strong ship, and even worse player behavior. 19 minutes ago, Navalpride33 said: lets not use stats as a marker of player quality. Anyone can be a troll or be toxic regardless of the stat presented. I was under the assumption what the pic showed and gave an alternative reasoning. WG does allow a person to reset to zero battles and keep their ship progress.

Yes, because I intentionally focused on his stats with the Napoli since that was the ship he was playing. And I initially thought he is good with the Napoli. But since you brought up the possibility that it is a reroll account, I can assure you it is not, because of his total 9,000 or so solo random battles in various ships including Tier X tech tree ships. HamptonRoads
This sort of behavior is plain inexcusable. This player needs to be reported
desmo_2
That type of behavior isn't new. Players have lost their grip and raged on chat since day one, including giving away team mates' positions. Heck, griefers used to be able to torp and kill their team mates. Fortunately, even in Randoms this behavior is pretty uncommon. It isn't unusual for a player to whine and blame the team for them getting sunk early, but this level of abuse IS pretty rare.

mashed68
Without seeing the game I can't say, but if you stayed full health till the match ended while sitting on the edges not helping with camps and dd's that got close to them, I can see why he's mad. Doesn't mean he's right, but its just a game after all.
Daniel_Allan_Clark
That guy would have earned a CS ticket from me based on the Spanish insults alone. The intentional intelligence to the enemy means I'm even sure WG will take action. I had a bit of a laugh at the stat shame there though...I mean, the guy intentionally throws in fits of anger, of course his win-rate is awful! 😉 The sad reality though is that that guy is the intended audience for WGs marketing. He is the whale that will buy ships believing the marketing hype.
