AdmiralThunder
So, I was helping someone out on reddit who asked about SuperShips and the costs involved. I answered them with the figures to buy what they wanted. Then it made me think about what I have spent on these stupid things. I have all of them now (got the last 3 like a week or so ago). The amount of credits I have spent to buy and outfit them is crazy... Bumblegoose
Congratulations, Admiral Thunder, you have joined the ranks of the world's billionaires, so it seems ... . Then let me ask you one question, which might save some of us, say, 800-900 million credits. If you were just to choose ONE supership of each class, (Destroyers, Cruisers, Carriers and so on), which would you recommend as the best value for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ?

I have only two, Annapolis + Novosibirsk, and that's more than enough, because I can't play them often enough due to lacking credits. Don't think I'm going to purchase another one soon. I'd like to have Maine and Conde, but there are in fact a lot of other good and more regular options around. Edited June 21 by OT2_2
Nevermore135
I sold the only tier XI I ever purchased (Annapolis) during last year’s Christmas/New Years event. It was a ship I never played and I needed the credits to purchase new tier Xs I had unlocked playing Assymetric Battles. If the “snowflake” rewards for tier XIs continue the trend of being so underwhelming, I don’t have any desire to keep any in my port. Haven’t regretted the decision at all.

Admiral_Karasu
Not that the Shikishima didn't tickle my fancy, even though I wan't to stick to my guns on the subject of Yamato having the biggest guns ever... but, Shikishima supposedly is the Design A-150 Super Yamato making it at least as real as the various high tier BB's that never existed either, apart from those whose keels were laid as I think A-150's never left the drawing cabinet. Ensign Cthulhu
8 hours ago, AdmiralThunder said: Then it made me think about what I have spent on these stupid things. Nice summary. I looked into what it would cost me to buy and operate a supership, which commander I would have to sacrifice to limited duty (given the running costs) and therefore how likely I would be to even play the damn thing, and concluded that it just wasn't worth it. The frequency of play would add up to being not much more often than when the public test server is active, so I may as well go play them in the PTS, where the credits are essentially inexhaustible and moving the captains around is free. Verblonde
I find myself struggling to remember which superships I have, as I almost never play them. I *think* I have all or almost all the DDs, and nothing else (unless I picked up whatever the super-Mino is and forgot; I was vaguely eyeing her at one point)... Because I'm still doing re-grinds for RP I don't have the massive surfeit of credits a lot of folk do; combine that with the factor that - for me - superships don't do anything exciting enough for me that existing lower tier things don't, and you see why mine mainly gather dust. I'm not a collector so, I only really have a few of the IJN's..... What strikes me kind of funny is that many of us, especially you and others that have been in game and active from the beginning, have well over 2++ billion credits to start with. I participated in the USS Maine sale and realized, I have well over 2+ billion and realized.......to what end? I've already made up what I spent on the Maine???? Thanks for the data though......if I pass this account to my Grandson, he'll have a solid fleet and inventory to play with....
