They're still potent stories.

@MysticalWar, thanks for posting that video.  Totally forgot about it (published 7 years ago by WG).

There is a very distinct reason why those who served during this era are referred to as the "Greatest Generation."  

Coming out of the Great Depression and thrust into a World War, everyone in that generation chipped in.  Not only men and women in the military but those left at home filling factory jobs for the war effort.  My parents, even as kids, collected "tin cans," "old newspapers," and other scrap, which in turn were recycled for the war effort.

They say that Movies "speak to the desires and needs of the Culture's subconscious... All those things we are uncomfortable to talk about..." 

And, if that ^^^^ is true, of late, we really need a lot more older movie makers to step up and seriously talk to their grand and great grand children....
