MK has already revealed that Michelangelo will be their NY dockyard ship, with the WIP tier VII Italian cruiser part of the event as well. So there’s a good chance we will see a similar announcement today. The recent round of nerfs to the two ships would also be consistent with the type of balancing WG typically applies to “reward” ships.

I think the only other realistic candidate for the NY dockyard is Defense. It’s the only tier IX/X ship (which seems to have become the standard for dockyard) that has been in development for an appropriate length of time since Nevarin has been revealed to be included in an upcoming container.

Rhode Island is a possibility

Yes it is a newer ship but it is based on things already known (ie; a mish mash of existing ships into a frankeship) and well tested in game. Balancing it should not take much effort.

Probabl the 2 RU ships though certainly but Rhode Island would not be unreasonable (and IMHO preferable).

Michelangelo look truly strange  seems like only broadside attack ship, will be uber interesting that he get new unique mechanic that we can directly control his 3 big secondaries together with main guns

Are we talking CGN-35 or DDG-103? CGN-35 you could maybe just balance for the game if you gave her early beam-riding Terrier instead of SARH Standard for her missiles. DDG-103 likely not, although I'm sure the carrier and sub haters would love you for it.

CGN-35.  visited New Zealand on 3 occasions before Nuclear powered/ armed ships were banned. circa 79-82.
