Hi all,

I have acquired all ships there are from "Premium Ship VII" and "Premium Ship V" containers in teh Armory...

Therefore I just collected the "Community Tokens" until I reached the guaranteed drop for the one and only remaining ship for me in the "Veteran Recruiting Container"... the "Prinz Eugen"!

I didn't count on luck at all and had the "Community Tokens" till "Guaranteed Drop" mechanics kicks in (i.e. 62 containers in total)... but it wasn't necessary... the 9th crate (I had 24 opened before - so 33 purchased in total) was the winning one! 🙂

I think either twelve or thirteen is my own maximum in operations, with Fiji in Narai and with Cleveland in Cherry Blossom long ago. The latter is certainly the better suited one for getting large kill counts.

I was the one, who entered and secured the center in close combat against several enemies. Aegir is fast, agile and quite tanky for being a super heavy cruiser, and her artillery / secondaries (12 km) are making her shine in my humble opinion. Yes, the game was over before I could make more dmg, but the goal / objective is more important IMO.

I've reset the Shimakaze line, and I'm going through it again.
I have unlocked Kagerou today, and decided to play just one game, with TRB equipped.

290k damage, kraken, 3166 base XP.

I just watched the game. You definitely carried your team there. You were alone and out-numbered on an entire flank for most of the match. And you were low tier to boot. Well done!

I'm well aware of that many people despise submarines, neverless the result in this "Ranked" game, especially on this cramped map, makes me quite proud. Still beginner on subs it isn't easy to cope with the issues and the new mechanics. It's always quite satisfying though to recognize an increase of capabilities and to improve in general.

In the very beginning of the battle you sent lottery blind 4 salvos towards DDs and those failed, that is a matter of debatable opinion, in Randoms i think it is totally wise because DDs take often torps in there. Also i didn't see the Radio captain skill, that again debatable if you need it at all in Randoms, but it made you look left and right sometimes in the battle because you didn't have the radio. I suggest that have the Radio skill, it benefits a strong player like you.

Also note that this forum had a T8 Damage challenge recently where the winning DD made ca 200k damage as i remember, you could have won it with that replay.

In the beginning of the battle you complained about the Seattle radaring issue because he was so far. In Randoms ships are always very far, and better don't expect anything from them, maybe he survived so long thanks for being inefficiently far in the beginning.

In the beginning your reflexes showed that you were about to use guns against a T9 DD but you didn't do and luckily need to do. Because your guns plus probably not helpful cruiser guns behind you wouldn't have helped you in such duel and better to avoid Kageros guns even more, so it wouldn't even be in the reflexes to use them. This is debatable opinion, in my opinion Shima-line DDs should avoid guns usage almost totally, you just try to run if a DD sees you, specially if a T9 DD sees you.

You TorpedoReload setup instead of a smoke is very good and in Rankeds i would prefer it too, because an additional torp salvo can more likely impact the battle than a smoke.

In that battle you didn't need to use wide spread torps and didn't had to do any 2km close range surprise torping but i think you do those as well with a high confidence. And that makes your torping skillset totally mastered, there is nothing to learn for you in torping art.

So, such feedback about torping topic.

Yeah I should have cut some slack to the Seattle. I don't think he positioned well, but maybe he had a good plan that didn't go like it should have. It happens.

I don't take RPF mostly because I don't like the indicator on my screen, even with mods. I find it distracting. Besides, it costs 4 points, and I can often get the same results by thinking carefully and paying attention, with the added benefit of not telling my opponent I know where he is! I get caught by surprise from time to time, though...
